A lifelong resident, Tony has deep roots in our community, and is dedicated to our future. He graduated from Canon McMillan High School and lives in North Strabane Township where he and his wife of 20 years, Stacey, are raising their children. They are active members of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church and Tony is a member of Masonic Lodge 164 and secretary of the Borough and Township Police Association.

Longtime law enforcement officer and conservative Republican Tony Andronas running for Washington County Sheriff. Tony will utilize his over 25-years of service as a police officer and Deputy Sheriff, including the last two years as Chief Deputy Sheriff, to keep our families safe, defend our Constitutional rights and protect county tax dollars.

During his career, Tony has served with honor as a full-time police officer with the South Park Township Police Department in southern Allegheny County, and he served the following departments in Washington County: Carroll Township Police Department, California Borough Police Department, East Washington Borough Police Department and the RESA Regional Police Department.
Tony is proud of his record of service, which includes taking murderers, drug dealers, child predators and other dangerous criminals off our streets. Tony has helped keep children and families safe as a certified crime prevention officer and D.A.R.E. instructor. He began his career in law enforcement as a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy. As Chief Deputy Sheriff, Tony has focused on enhanced emergency preparedness, tactical plans and reviewing and updating policies and procedures. He is known throughout the law enforcement community for his strong work ethic and his integrity.

After earning a Bachelor of Science from California University of Pennsylvania, Tony went on to graduate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Police Academy and from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law Sheriff’s Act 2 Training.

In honor of the Washington County Sheriff’s badge, Andronas outlined his 5-point Conservative Action Plan he will implement on day one as Sheriff to put the hard-working men and women of Washington County first:
